If you were a song, what song would you be?
That’s a strange question for me. I “am” my own songs, and yet none of them describe me completely. The desire to compose the next one never leaves me.
How would you describe yourself?
I love to make things, to create and shape my surroundings. I’ve often been described as an “intermediary”.
Your main flaw?
I have a few... My perfectionism can be a problem, my thoroughness impedes others, and my need to control everything makes it hard for my agents... And I often just disappear.
Flowers that you like?
Peonies, poppies and sweet peas. Wild flowers, uncontrollable, ephemeral, resilient... a little “round”.
Who is your literary idol?
At the moment, I’m reading Moby Dick, so Melville. Joan Didion is another one of my favorites. But also Hugo, Dickinson...
What is your favorite activity?
Being on stage, singing, drawing, cooking with and for the people I love, playing music, building, making model planes, trains, model houses, Lego... I love to keep busy.
What’s hiding under your hat?
Another hat, and curiosity.
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
An exceptional memory and two extra hands.
How do you feel?
Vulnerable and calm.
Tuxedo or little black dress?
A tuxedo on top of a black mini-dress... I like to balance things out. If I’m feeling dainty, I’ll wear a tuxedo. If I’m feeling a bit rogue, then a black dress...
What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?
Recounting the night’s dreams out loud in order to remember them, starting to plan all the things I need to do, running to the coffeemaker.
What is your favorite moment of day?
Mornings all to myself.
What is your favorite watch?
My much loved Baignoire.
